Spokesperson of the Israel Defense Forces…

Spokesperson of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF):

The Air Force attacked targets of the Houthi terrorist regime in Yemen, approximately 1,800 km from the Israeli border.

In a major air operation conducted today (Sunday), dozens of Air Force aircraft, including fighter jets, tankers, and intelligence aircraft, attacked, under the direction of the Intelligence Division, military targets of the Houthi terrorist regime in the Ras Issa and Hudaydah areas of Yemen. The IDF struck power plants and a seaport used for oil imports.

Through the attacked infrastructures and ports, the Houthi regime transfers Iranian weapons to the region and supplies for military purposes, including oil shipments. The attack was carried out in response to recent attacks by the Houthi regime against the State of Israel.

Over the past year, the Houthi terrorist regime has operated under Iranian direction and funding, in cooperation with Iraqi militias, with the aim of attacking the State of Israel, destabilizing regional order, and disrupting global free navigation.

The IDF is determined to continue acting and striking anyone who poses a threat to the citizens of the State of Israel, regardless of the distance required.
