Speaking with NBC News, U.S. Senator John Kennedy addressed the bombing of a girls’ primary school in Iran on the first day of Operation Epic Fury, an incident that reportedly killed around 175 children and which evidence suggests may have been carried out inadvertently by U.S. forces.
“It was terrible. We made a mistake,” Kennedy said. “Other countries do that sort of thing intentionally, like Russia. We would never do that intentionally. I think the United States Department of Defense is investigating it now, and I'm sorry. I’m just so sorry it happened. It was a mistake.”
