Syria’s Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani attended the raising of the Free Syrian Flag today at the United Nations in New York City, with him later stating, “It wasn’t my hand alone that raised the flag; I was aided by 1 million martyrs and 15 million displaced persons and refugees who stood by me, and by the voices of the mothers of the martyrs and missing.”
