Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa reportedly met with Israeli National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi in Abu Dhabi, where he is said to have agreed to cede the Golan Heights to Israel in exchange for political support to remain in power.
According to Al Mayadeen, the agreement includes the establishment of three demilitarized zones in southern Syria—Daraa, Quneitra, and Sweida. All heavy weaponry will be removed from Syrian army bases in the region, and both the army and police will be restricted to carrying only light arms within the demilitarized zones.
