“China is ready to work with Brazil,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun when asked about the U.S. threat to impose 50% tariffs on Brazil starting August 1st.

“China stands ready to cooperate with Brazil, other Latin American and Caribbean countries, and BRICS nations to jointly uphold the multilateral trading system centered on the WTO, as well as international fairness and justice,” Guo stated.
