Russia is reportedly deeply concerned about the growing risk of a major conflict erupting in Southeast Asia, as hostilities between Cambodia and Thailand persist into Friday. Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated, “Russia is alarmed by the escalating tensions and urges both sides to show restraint and engage in dialogue to peacefully resolve their differences.” The Russian Foreign Ministry has also advised its citizens in both Cambodia and Thailand to remain cautious and vigilant.
