In a report yesterday by The Times, regional intelligence sources revealed that last week Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) secretly transferred hundreds of short to long-range cruise and ballistic missiles to its paramilitary forces in Iraq. The missiles transferred, which included some short-range missiles similar to those previously held by Iraqi proxy groups, such as the “Quds 351” Land-Attack Cruise Missile and the “Zolfaghar” Short-Range Ballistic Missile; also included several long-range surface-to-surface missiles never provided before by Iran to its forces in Iraq, some of which are believed to have a ranges of over 1,000 miles, allowing them to potentially strike targets in Europe.
