Ukrainian Telegram channels report that Russian forces are using a new type of drone to detect air defenses and mobile units along the border and frontline areas. Mimicking the appearance of a Shahed drone, its primary role is to scout safe flight paths for actual Shaheds and monitor air defense movements. The drone operates at altitudes of 1–3 km, transmitting analog video on a 1.2 GHz frequency with a range of over 50 km. It’s remotely controlled via the ELRS system.
