U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke earlier with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, following a request from Moscow. The two discussed the ongoing situation in Ukraine, as well as President Trump’s call for continued direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
