Three individuals connected to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio—including one servicemember—were found dead Saturday, October 25, at multiple off-base locations in what authorities describe as an apparent double murder-suicide, according to a statement from the 88th Air Base Wing Public Affairs.

The incident is being investigated by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (OBI), the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI), and other federal, state, and local agencies. The victims have been identified as:
• 1st Lt. Jaime Gustitus, 25, assigned to the 711th Human Performance Wing, part of the Air Force Research Laboratory.
• Mrs. Jaymee Prichard, 33, an employee of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
• Mr. Jacob Prichard, 34, also with the Air Force Research Laboratory.

Investigators believe Jacob Prichard was responsible for all three deaths. Evidence indicates he killed his wife, Jaymee, late Friday night or early Saturday morning, placed her body in the trunk of their car, and then drove to Honey Tree Place in Sugarcreek Township. There, around 2:00 a.m., he reportedly broke into Lt. Gustitus’s apartment and fatally shot her. Prichard then drove to a parking lot at West Milton Municipal, where he took his own life. Before doing so, he opened the trunk of the vehicle so that responding officers would discover Jaymee’s body.
