The New York City Police Department has announced the death of Officer Sorffly Davius, a Major in the New York Army National Guard assigned to the 42nd Infantry Division.

According to the NYPD, Major Davius passed away Friday following a “medical episode” while deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Epic Fury.

Aside from the six United States Army soldiers killed last Sunday in an Iranian drone strike in Kuwait—whose remains were returned to the United States early Saturday—Major Davius is the only other death reported so far during the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.

His death has not yet been formally announced by the United States Department of Defense or United States Central Command.
