Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has urged NATO to consider establishing a no-fly zone over Ukraine to shield Europe from Russian strikes, in the wake of last week’s drone attack on Eastern Poland. “NATO and the E.U. are capable of doing this, but Poland cannot make such a decision alone — it must be taken with our allies,” he said. Sikorski noted that protecting civilians from threats like falling debris would be far easier if drones and other aerial threats were intercepted outside Polish territory. “If Ukraine were to ask us to shoot them down over its airspace, that would be to our advantage. Personally, I believe we should consider it,” he added.
