Syria’s Minister of Information has announced the launch of the “second phase” of the ceasefire agreement reached last night in Suwayda. This phase follows the deployment of internal security forces to rural areas north and west of the city in southern Syria.
The second phase will focus on opening humanitarian corridors to facilitate the evacuation and medical treatment of civilians. It will also lay the groundwork for negotiations between the warring parties, aimed at securing the release of hostages held by both sides and ultimately bringing an end to the conflict between the Druze and Bedouin communities.
