A Russian-flagged ship caught fire in the Mediterranean Sea today, not far from Malta. According to Reuters, the blaze may have been caused by a Ukrainian naval drone strike.

While Ukrainian operations at such a distance from their coastline have occurred before, incidents this far from Ukraine remain uncommon.
