Laura Sarabia has resigned from her position as Minister of Foreign Affairs, citing “differences with President Gustavo Petro.” A previous holder of the post recently wrote a letter claiming that Petro disappeared for two days during an official trip to Paris and is addicted to drugs.
In her resignation letter, Sarabia stated that her decision was driven by “government decisions that, out of personal integrity and institutional respect, I can no longer support.” She emphasized that these were not “minor disagreements,” but rather “a direction that, with all the affection and respect I have for him, I can no longer carry out.”
