⚡️A few hours ago, the Kremlin announced that Yury Borisov, the Director General of Russia’s Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities, had been dismissed without explanation. He will be replaced by Dmitry Bakanov, who headed a subset of the Transportation Ministry. While it’s hard to know for sure why the reportedly otherwise well-liked director was canned, the Kremlin’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov clarified by saying that the Kremlin had ‘no complaints' with Borisov, characterizing the move as a ‘rotation’ instead of a dismissal as released by the Kremlin originally. Obvious caveats apply here.
