The U.S. Embassy in Israel has limited the movement of its diplomats and their families to the cities of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Be’er Sheva, citing “heightened regional tensions” with Iran. Similar travel restrictions were implemented ahead of Iran’s previous attacks on Israel in 2024.
The Embassy also urges American citizens in Israel to stay alert and exercise heightened personal security awareness. It advises being familiar with the nearest shelter in case of a red alert. Security threats — including rockets, missiles, mortars, and drone incursions — may occur without warning. The situation remains fluid and could change quickly in the coming days.
