⚡️U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM) has released a statement saying that a total of 8 C-130 aircraft equipped with Modular Aerial Fire Fighting Systems (MAFFS) have been sent to the Channel Islands in Southern California to assist in the ongoing firefighting operations in the Los Angeles area. While this isn’t new news, the release provides additional insights into the units involved and the time frame for their deployment.
Additionally, March Air Reserve Base has been designated as a FEMA Incident Support base for the “forward distribution of supplies and equipment.”
