Remarks from Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder, Head of the Israeli Military Intelligence Directorate, following last night’s initial strikes on Iran:

“We are entering a campaign that is nothing short of existential—against an enemy that seeks our destruction, that is rapidly advancing its nuclear capabilities, and is developing massive stockpiles of conventional weapons.

This is the threat we are determined to degrade, disrupt, and ultimately eliminate. Above all, I want to say how deeply I trust each of you, how much I believe in your abilities, and how confident I am that together—both here and across every space where you operate—we can succeed.

The Intelligence Directorate has worked tirelessly to deliver early warnings on Iran’s nuclear progress and its growing arsenal of ballistic missiles. We are fully prepared for this mission, operating at the highest level of alert, and in a strong position as this campaign begins.
