All Russian ships and submarines at the Tartus naval base in Syria have disappeared. It is unclear whether this is part of a coordinated withdrawal or a large-scale naval exercise.

The city of Tartus, home to the naval base, and the city of Latakia, which hosts the Russian Khmeimim airbase, were taken over by anti-Assad forces over the weekend.
