🚨The U.S. State Department’s annual report, published today, states:

“The human rights situation in Brazil worsened over the course of the year. The courts took broad and disproportionate measures to undermine freedom of expression and internet freedom, blocking millions of users from accessing information on a major social media platform in response to a harassment case.”

“The government undermined democratic debate by restricting access to online content deemed to be ‘undermining democracy.’”

The report refers to the year 2024.
