⚡️North Korea has confirmed that it launched what it says was a hypersonic intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM). The missile was fitted with a hypersonic glide vehicle, and North Korea claims the projectile flew at 12 times the speed of sound. According to NK News, “The missile and its wedge-shaped hypersonic glide vehicle (HGV) appear similar to the Hwasong-16B IRBM North Korea tested once in April 2024.”
