The situation surrounding the imposition of Martial Law in South Korea is becoming increasingly confusing. General Park An-su, appointed by President Yoon Suk Yeol to lead the country’s command during the Martial Law period, told Parliament today that he only learned about the move through television and that the president never informed him directly.

The General, despite being the Chief of Staff of the South Korean Army, also stated that he does not know who ordered his soldiers to surround the National Assembly.

Amid all this confusion, the South Korean Defense Minister has resigned, but President Yoon has shown no signs of stepping down voluntarily.
