According to Haaretz, during a phone call last night, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged U.S. President Donald J. Trump to halt the ongoing nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran, enabling Israel to carry out “necessary military action” against Iranian nuclear sites. In response, President Trump reportedly told Netanyahu that he would not authorize an Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities “in the near future” and requested that Netanyahu refrain from publicly discussing the possibility of such a military attack.
