Senator Richard Blumenthal said that the U.S. Senate will begin discussing a secondary sanction of a 500% tariff on trade with any country that buys oil or petroleum products from Russia. Brazil is currently the second-largest buyer of Russian diesel and, therefore, will be directly affected by this sanction if it is approved.
