JD Vance slammed the Iran nuclear deal, arguing that its enforcement and inspections were too lax. He warned that Iran preserved key elements of its nuclear program, giving it the ability to rapidly pursue weapons-grade enrichment if it chooses.
Vance stated that while Iran can maintain a civilian nuclear program, it must not be allowed the enrichment capacity that could lead to a nuclear weapon. “That’s the red line,” he said.
