In a statement released this morning, the Norwegian Government reported that Russian aircraft have violated Norway’s airspace on at least three occasions in 2025:
• April 25: A Russian Su-24 fighter jet entered Norwegian airspace northeast of Vardø Municipality, remaining for four minutes.
• July 24: A Russian L410 Turbolet crossed into Norwegian airspace over an uninhabited area along the border in Eastern Finnmark, staying for three minutes.
• August 18: A Russian Su-33 fighter jet flew into Norwegian airspace over the sea northeast of Vardø Municipality, remaining for one minute.
