U.S. 🇺🇸/Cuba 🇨🇺: The U.S. State Department has announced sanctions against key figures in the Cuban regime for their “involvement in serious human rights violations.”
Visa restrictions have also been imposed on several Cuban judicial and correctional officials accused of participating in the unjust detention and torture of protesters during the July 2021 demonstrations.
President Miguel Díaz-Canel, Defense Minister Álvaro López Miera, and Interior Minister Lázaro Alberto Álvarez Casas have had their U.S. entry visas revoked.
