Speaking this weekend at the Yalta European Security Conference in Kyiv, U.S. Special Envoy to Ukraine, Ret. Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, argued that Russia is losing its war against Ukraine:

“If Putin were winning, he’d be in Kyiv. If he were winning, he’d be west of the Dnipro. If he were winning, he’d be in Odesa. If he were winning, he would have already changed the government. The reality is, Russia is losing this war.”

Gen. Kellogg went on to note: “They [Russia] pulled out of Afghanistan after losing 18,000. We left Vietnam after losing 65,000. Russia has suffered over a million dead or wounded — those are World War II-level losses. And these are the very front-line units they sent to take Kyiv.”
