Support from Israel and the United States for Kurdish forces operating near Iran’s northwestern border — including reported plans to open a corridor for cross-border operations toward Tehran — has raised concerns in both Turkey and Iraq, which fear such moves could destabilize their own security. 

Reports indicate that efforts to enable Kurdish groups to operate inside northwestern Iran could create a new front against Tehran, but neighboring states worry it may inflame Kurdish separatist movements and trigger wider regional instability.
