Hamas Statement
The Hamas movement is still awaiting the response of the Zionist enemy to the proposal submitted by mediators on August 18, which was approved by Hamas and the Palestinian factions.
The movement reiterates its readiness to move forward with a comprehensive agreement under which all enemy prisoners held by the resistance would be released in exchange for an agreed number of Palestinian prisoners held by the occupation. This would form part of a broader deal to end the war on the Gaza Strip, ensure the complete withdrawal of occupation forces, open the crossings for essential supplies, and begin reconstruction efforts.
Hamas also reaffirms its acceptance of establishing an independent national technocratic administration to immediately assume responsibility for managing all sectors of civilian life in the Gaza Strip.
