Latvia and Lithuania have reportedly blocked Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s flight from entering Russian airspace ahead of the May 9 Victory Day parade.

Latvian authorities cited “politically delicate” reasons for denying overflight permission, while Lithuania attributed its refusal to “technical and diplomatically sensitive issues.”

In a similar move, both Lithuania and Poland also barred Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico’s aircraft from flying to Moscow for the same event.
