The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has warned the Trump administration that Israeli plans to annex large parts of the West Bank would jeopardize the Abraham Accords and likely eliminate any possibility of expanding them to other regional countries such as Jordan and Saudi Arabia, according to two sources familiar with the matter who spoke with Axios.

Emirati officials have stressed both privately and publicly that annexation represents a “red line” in UAE-Israel relations. “These plans, if carried out, will cause significant harm to the UAE-Israel relationship and irreparably damage what remains of the vision for regional integration. In many ways, Israel now faces a choice: annexation or integration,” a senior Emirati official told Axios.
